So in closing this is the 2018 pickup truck line up from the five major manufacturers, so I hope this information will help you to make the best decision when it come into spending your hard earned dollars. Until next time Thats A Good Look.

What is the best horse trailer braking system on the market?  With the winter season fast approaching it is very important that you feel confident, and safe when you go to make a complete stop in the harsh elements on any given interstate highway with your full size truck, or SUV and horse trailer in tow.  In 31 states, you are required by law to keep well-working brakes on any horse trailer with a gross vehicle weight of more than 3,000 pounds.  Small trailers that weigh 4,000 pounds or less, may only need brakes on one axle, but bigger trailers, like the gooseneck horse trailer that people take on longer trips, require brakes on both axles. It is important to check with your local state website to see what your state require when it come into horse trailer braking systems.  Most trailers are equipped with electric brakes, which allow the driver to control the trailer’s braking system manually from inside the cab of the truck, but a few trailers are still fitted with low-tech hydraulic brakes that engage based on resistance from the towing vehicle.  Many large horse trailers with living quarters, use a secondary braking system as a fail-safe in case the trailer somehow come loose from the truck hauling it.  These safety brakes, known as breakaway brakes, are worth their weight in gold on long hauls and give the driver the reassurance that in the event of an accident the trailer will come to a complete stop when separated from the towing vehicle.  Breakaway brakes are powered by a 12 volt battery that’s independent of the rest of the braking system, this safety system is designed to engage the brakes on your trailer for a full 15 minutes should it become unhitched in transit.  Most trailers are equipped with drum brakes, but the most efficient brakes are disc brakes which there are companies out there that have conversion kits to convert your drum braking system into a disc braking system, which is far more superior for stopping power.  Pulling a trailer is easy as long as you have a truck with the power to pull the trailer, you push on the gas and the trailer will follow you wherever you go, but stopping is not always as easy, especially if your trailer is weighed down with multiple horses, tack, hay and feed.  The additional brakes on the axles of your trailer will help you bring it to a gentle stop instead of risking slamming around your horses and their gear.  The breakaway brake is even more valuable because it also protects other drivers should your horse trailer become unhinged.  Sudden, or jarring braking is hard on your live stock, but it’s also hard on your equipment.  Very tall trailers risk twisting or toppling with hard braking if they’re depending solely on the truck’s brakes to stop them.  That is a disaster everyone around you would rather avoid.  Properly designed brakes are important to ensure that your trailer stops when it needs to, without any extra drama.  Although you rarely think about them, brakes are one of the most valuable features on your horse trailer.  Below are a few examples of the different braking systems available on most horse trailers today.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    http://www.thatsagoodlook.today/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/titan-brakerite445x325-d400-59075ecd4777c.jpg
