(IN MEMORY OF BIG JOE)

Big Joe Baca may have past on, but he left his lasting impression by building this beautiful 1975 Chevrolet c10 Silverado Long Bed Pickup Truck.  Big Joe purchased the Chevy pickup back in 1977 when this truck was only two years old, and he would he became the second owner of this well put together truck.  When Joe purchased the truck it was in the original condition, the stock Hawaiian Blue, and Strato White two tone exterior color scheme with Dark Blue cloth interior.  Over time Joe decided to paint the truck, but then in 1995, Big Joe decided to customize the truck somewhat, and this is the finished product to date from the nineteen nineties, including rims and all.  During that time Joe called on his friend Jesse at Fleet Color to paint his truck.  The two colors that Jesse chose to paint the Silverado was a custom mixture called Lite Plum Crazy with a Silver Metallic Pearl base coat, and the top of the truck, the tunnel cover, and the bottom half of the truck were all sprayed with a Medium Charcoal Grey finish.  The truck was then sprayed with several coats of clear to get that ultra finish, that have helped to keep this Chevy shining since the nineties. Jesse dropped the stock Chevy mirrors for a pair of more modern Ford mirrors that was then painted the same color scheme to match the color of the truck.  The interior was done in Charcoal Grey cloth.  Joe decided to drop a naturally aspirated 350 cubic inch carbureted crate motor from General Motors that puts out 255 horsepower, hooked up to to a bullet proof GM Turbo 350 Transmission.  The after market rims of choice Big Joe went with was a pair of 15×10 inch Elite aluminum rims rapped with some BF Goodyear 15 inch Radial T/A tires.  The exhaust system is a custom 2 1/2 inch single pipe 16-gauge aluminized steel exhaust system.  The sound system in the truck is an after market stereo with the 6×9 inch speakers in the door.  Big Joe really put a tremendous truck together that have stood the test of time, and we here at The G-Look Truck Stop would like to thank Big Joe Baca’s son Little Joe for sharing his father’s legacy of truck building with us, so we could bring this piece of history to you today. We would also like to give a special shout out to Big Joe for his service in the military (The Mariners).  Thank you Big Joe you may be gone, but you are not forgotten, and your legacy will live on.
